CONDITIONS OF HIRE
1. The Hirer shall have the right to occupy and use for a holiday the Property specified on the booking form
together with its gardens for the agreed period.
2. The person booking the property will be responsible for the obligations & conditions of the booking
3. The Hirer shall not pass his/her booking to another party.
4. The number of persons using the accommodation shall not exceed five, unless agreed in advance.
5. If there is any breach of these conditions by the Hirer the landlord may re-enter the premises
6. Please bear in mind that you are responsible for your childrens safety whilst at The Old Stables.
BOOKINGS
It is advisable to telephone for confirmation of availability before sending your booking form and deposit.
The owner accepts all bookings in good faith. However, in the unlikely event of the owner or their agent
having to cancel any booking previously confirmed, their liability will be limited to the return in full of any
monies paid.
PAYMENTS
A deposit of 1/3 of the rental is payable on booking. The balance of the rental is payable 6 weeks prior to
arrival. For bookings made less than 6 weeks in advance, the total amount is payable on booking.
CANCELLATIONS
Once a booking is confirmed i.e. the deposit has been paid and the booking accepted, the hirer is responsible
for the total cost of the holiday as shown on the invoice. Please remember to take out holiday cancellation
insurance & insurance to cover your belongings whilst at the property. In the event of cancellation every effort
will be made to re-let the cottage. In the unlikely event that re-letting cannot be arranged, the hirer will be liable
to pay the balance of the tariff in full.
NUMBER OF GUESTS PER COTTAGE
The maximum number of guests [not including cots] permitted in the cottage must not exceed the number
stated above. The proprietor reserves the right to decline accommodation and to order any unauthorised
person off the premises.
BREAKAGES
Any damages or breakages, which may occur, must be paid for. Accidental damages or breakages of a minor
nature will not normally be charged.
PETS
By prior arrangement.
TOWELS/ LINEN
Linen is provided i.e. sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers, towels, bathmats & tea towels. These are all
included in the price.
COTS AND HIGH CHAIRS
Travel cots and high chair are provided upon request, although we must point out that the travel cots are
for children UNDER 2 only.
HEATING
This is included in the hire charge.
SMOKING
Smoking is not permitted in the cottage.
PARKING
There are two parking spaces in front of the cottage. If additional parking is required this is available in the
village square. Additional cars should not be parked in the courtyard.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Bookings are from 4pm on the day of arrival to 10am on the day of departure. It is helpful if you telephone to
notify us of your anticipated arrival time (especially if it is likely to be after 9pm). Guests are asked to leave
their accommodation clean and tidy when vacating them. Guests are asked to give consideration to neighbours
and not to cause nuisance or annoyance. The owner reserves the right to gain access with prior notice for the
purposes of maintenance and inspection if it is necessary.
SECURTY DEPOSIT
A security deposit of fifty pounds is payable in cash or cheque on arrival, this is taken as a guarantee against
any breakages or damage incurred during your stay or excess cleaning required at the end. After inspection at
the end of your stay it will be returned if everything is found to be satisfactory.
